People, in our horrible economy need work and some have decided to buy a camera or a handicam and make money on unsuspecting brides. If you shop you will wonder how we could be any good at all because our prices are too low. Read on and you’ll understand.

WHAT EVERY BRIDE SHOULD KNOW:
GO TO THE STUDIO OF THE PERSON YOU HIRE:
Most photographers are working from their bedrooms & many have taken deposits & left town. They meet brides at home or a cafe because they have no studio, no equipment, they’re not even photographers. BE CAREFUL. There are some legitimate photographers and videographers who are home based, but if you are going to hire them be sure to go to their home, see their work and equipment and make sure you’re not giving your money to a con artist. IN THE PAST YEAR WE’VE BEEN HIRED BY BRIDES who gave down payments, one gave $2,000 up front to a “PHOTOGRAPHER” who showed her two beautiful albums, a COFEE TABLE BOOK and some beautifully framed enlargements. He seemed like the real deal. The bride called a week before the wedding to confirm the wedding and reception schedule and the phone number this con artist gave was disconnected. We suspect he downloaded beautiful photos off the web, used them to create the COFFEE TABLE BOOK and was never a photographer at all. Brides have booked some of these photographers because of the COFFEE TABLE BOOK they saw. Those books are ink jet prints and after a few years they will discolor and fade away. One bride said she booked with a photographer because she wanted everyone to see her book when they came by. The problem was that those books only cost a few dollars and they “PACKAGE” he sold her was $1,000 more than we charge and she didn’t get the Copyright to her photos. The copyright is much more important than the book or “proofs” or prints. By the way, most photographers provide “proofs” which are normally printed off their home printer and are, again, ink jet prints and because they don’t give the copyright the bride is forced to spend $28 for an 8x10 enlargement that would have cost her $1.49 if she had known to get the copyright from the photographer when she booked him, but didn’t find out how important it was until after the wedding and it was too late. She really paid $1,000 for a little ink jet coffee table book, that’s why we say IT’S REDICULOUS to pay extremely high prices just because the photographer is a good salesman. You’re not hiring a salesman, you’re hiring a professional who knows how to make your day beautiful but doesn’t rip you off. That doesn’t mean you need to book us, just be careful! This is the most important day of your life and you want to work with a professional who loves doing weddings, like we do. Now we are going to discuss the importance of owning the copyright to your wedding photos and video.
GET THE COPYRIGHT –DON’T BUY PHOTO PACKAGES!
BRIDES ASSUME THE “CD” IS THE COPYRIGHT. IT ISN’T! Whether you go with us or another company make sure you get the copyright to your photos and videos. It seems ridiculous, but it true, that if you pay a wedding photographer for your wedding photos and the photographer gives you a cd of all you pictures that he or she is giving you the rights to reproduce those photos and the same is true of your wedding video. YOU DON’T OBTAIN THE RIGHTS TO THE PHOTOS YOU PAID A PHOTOGRAPHER OR VIDEOGRAPHER TO TAKE UNLESS THEY RELEASE THEM IN WRITING. How stupid is that? It’s not fair. After all, the photo and video package is of you, your wedding party and your guests and you paid for the photography and videography, you should own the rights to those images BUT YOU DON’T. Often brides don’t discover they don’t own the rights until after they wedding is over, they’ve paid the photographer and videographer and want to pick up their photos and video.
PHOTOGRAPHERS OWN THE RIGHTS, BRIDES DON’T!
Often they are shocked, dismayed and upset because the photographer insists that the bride by all the prints from the photographer and the COPYRIGHT LAWS WERE WRITTEN TO PROTECT THE PHOTOGRAPHER OR VIDEOGRAPHER and are enforceable in Federal Court. How would you feel if you paid some person working out of their bedroom $1,500 for them to shoot you wedding photos only to discover when it was time to pick them up that you had to buy all the prints from them and that if you printed them yourself that the photographer could sue you in Federal Court and could win because the copyright laws were written not to protect brides, but to protect photographers and apply equally to videographers.
Brides often find that when they go to the photographer to get prints that a single 8x10 costs $28.00 from the photographer but would only cost $1.49 from a professional lab. That means that if you want to put together an album of twenty of your favorite bridal photos and don’t have the copyright, you could be forced to pay the wedding and reception photographer $280.00 for those 20 prints. IF YOU HAD THE COPYRIGHT those same prints would cost you about 1/10th of that or about $30. PAY $280.00 or $30, WE SAVE YOU $250.00 on prints alone.

Again BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL! Remember, the problem is that many photographers don’t mention the copyright until after the wedding, when it’s too late! Unless specifically mentioned in writing, the photographer owns “THE RIGHTS TO YOUR WEDDING! How is that possible? A copyright law, passed decades ago, makes your photo images the property of the photographer or videographer who captured those images. That was to protect the rights of the photographer, but who protects your rights?

If any photographer or videographer you speak with doesn’t mention the copyright and that it is included in the price you pay, don’t book them!
THIS ECONOMY CREATES FRAUD! People are conning unsuspecting brides by meeting them at coffee shops, restaurants or coming to their home and displaying beautiful photo albums of brides whose wedding photography they never did. Las Vegas wedding photographers have grown over the past 23 years that we’ve been shooting from a very select few to over a thousands so called wedding photographers or wedding videographers and with the advent of digital technology these scammers are downloading beautiful bridal photos of Las Vegas Weddings, putting great albums together and they have never even shot a wedding. OUR PRICES ARE TO LOW FOR US TO BE ANY GOOD, RIGHT?
A bride who was ready to put down a $2,000 deposit, which was only 50% of the shooting cost for the photographer she had decided to use. SHE FELT WE COULDN’T BE PROFESSIONAL BECAUSE OUR PRICES ARE TOO LOW!SHE BOOKED US. Her first statement was, “I’ve already decided on a photographer but I need video and I saw your ad on line. I don’t understand how you can charge $399 for video when all the others want $1,299 or more for video only. I already decided on a photographer and I am spending much more than I should, over $4,000 so I don’t have anything left for video but I know I really need video. At your prices you must be using a video camera like I have at home, but I was curious, is your price for real”.The answer is YES, OUR PRICES ARE FOR REAL! You’re spending $4,000 for photography? In fact she said the photographer was referred by the place she had selected to have her wedding and the photographer worked out of his house. We said, he’s charging you $4,000 for the shoot alone and he has no studio? She started to think about her choice a little more. She said that the photographer showed her beautiful wedding photos and told her that this was the one day in her life when money shouldn’t enter the picture, AFTER ALL WEDDING PHOTOS LAST A LIFETIME and you don’t want to gamble with these precious memories. Your wedding pictures capture memories that will never be repeated and the money, THE $4,000 plus is not a lot over the course of a life time. Think of it as an investment in the future happiness of your family, you don’t want to skimp on your families happiness, do you? GREAT CON JOB BUT IT SIMPLY ISN’T TRUE, NONE OF IT. PRICE DOESN’T DETERMINE VALUE! DON’T BE FOOLED, GET YOUR MONEY’S WORTH, DON’T BE TALKED INTO PAYING EVEN A THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR WEDDING PHOTOS, YOU DON’T HAVE TO! That seemed to make sense but how could we provide anything close to the quality of a photographer who charged $4,000.00 and $500 for “PROOFs” (which are photographer speak INK JET PRINTS that disappear after a couple of years because they are just ink on paper) The bride called that photographer back and started asking more questions. She asked the photographer about the CAMERA he uses, she asked the LENS, she asked about the FILE FORMAT, she asked about the style of photography he shoots in and she asked him why hadn’t mentioned the COPYRIGHT, SHE DIDN’T BOOK HIM and was she glad she didn’t. She called us back and gave us the answer to the questions that we’re providing to you here in our web site and she started to understand that OUR QUALITY WAS EQUAL TO OR BETTER THAN THE $4,000 PACKAGE but at just over 1/10th the price. SHE SAVED $3,500 and was thrilled with our quality, our courtesy, our enthusiasm and service!

WHY DOES THE TYPE OF CAMERA & LENS MATTER?
CANON professional cameras are used by 90% of the worlds leading photographers in the areas of sports, publicity, weddings and events. Why? CANON is far ahead of all the competition and virtually all of the high end Wedding Phtographers in
GROUP SHOTS REQUIRE a 1 TO 1, or 100% lens aspect ratio. What in the world does that mean? Virtually every professional digital camera in the market place, whether CANON, NIKON or SONY has only a 67% lens aspect ratio. Again, what does that matter? When shooting a wedding party, brides maids, groomsman, parents & grand parents and large family and/or friends shot, the lens aspect ratio is critical.. When the bride who was quoted $4,000 asked the photographer which camera he was using he said CANON and so she knew that he had chosen the brand used by most professional photographers, BUT WHEN SHE ASKED HIM WHICH MODEL, SHE WAS SHOCKED! The wedding photographer who was charging almost ten times our price was using a CANON 30D. Although the 30D is a professional camera it’s ASPECT RATIO IS ONLY 67%. It’ an older model, but still a good camera, but when she asked him what lens he used and what the aspect ratio of the lens was, THERE WAS DEAD SILENCE ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE. That silence told her everything she needed to know. It was obvious that this photographer couldn't or wouldn't answer her question because the answer would cost him this bride. He himmed and hawd and she booked with us. Even if you don't book with us, after studying the information in our web site you will be able to pick the perfect wedding photographer and videographer. We love Las Vegas, but Vegas has more than it's share of people who don't tell the whole truth and we are dedicated to you getting great value for the investment you're making your future.
VIDEO FORMAT IS CRITICAL-YOU NEED 16:9 NOT 4:3
BRIDES DREAM ALL THEIR LIVES OF HOW BEAUTIFUL THEY’LL LOOK IN THEIR WEDDING GOWN. IF YOUR VIDEO IS SHOT 4:3 AND YOU PLAY IT ON YOUR HDTV IT WILL LOOK LIKE YOU GAINED 10, 20 EVEN 30 POUNDS AND WHAT BRIDE WANTS TO LOOK HEAVIER IN HER WEDDING GOWN?
YOUR WEDDING VIDEO CAPTURES ALL THE EXCITEMENT, ALL THE JOY, AND MOST OF ALL, ALL THE BEAUTY OF YOUR SPECIAL DAY. How would you feel if you receive the wedding video that you’ve been eagerly awaiting and it makes you look heavy. Is it possible that all videographers don’t shoot in 16:9 which captures you in all your magnificence, but instead they are still shooting 4:3 which is the old, square FORMAT (aspect ratio) that old style, traditional televisions use. Rediculous, yes but it’s done every day by people who are unemployed, working out of their houses, using a camcorder like the one you have at home and show you a video that they may never have shot. There are “Videographers” who have downloaded videos off the Web and show them to Brides and tell them that they shot the video. Again, be careful! Getting back to aspect ratio, is it really possible that many videography companies are shooting Wedding and Reception Videos in the old 4:3 aspect ratio where Brides look 10, 20 or 30 pounds heavier than they really are? Absolutely! Videographers, for the most part are working out of their homes and have little handy cams, often shooting in 4:3 aspect ration. When you put a 4:3 video on an HDTV it only fills the middle of the television. To see the whole video in all it’s splendor you must STRETCH THE VIDEO TO FILL THE SCREEN. STRETCHING THE VIDEO STRETCHES YOUR BODY AND MAKES YOU LOOK MUCH HEAVIER THAN YOU REALLY ARE. WHAT A NIGHTMARE FOR A BEAUTIFUL BRIDE. Make sure the camera looks like the ones you see the Television Stations use. If you’re unsure you can call us, give us the model number and we can tell you, just from the make and model of the camera, how the quality will be.
YOU DESERVE A BROADCAST VIDEO CAMERA
